THE main road through Penketh was closed in both directions on Monday evening following a serious road traffic collision.
The incident happened on Warrington Road, Penketh, at around 7.30pm at the crossing close to the Co-op store and is believed to have involved a pedestrian and a vehicle.
No other details are available at this stage but motorists are advised to avoid the area.
