A chance to quiz police chiefs in Warrington

CHESHIRE’S chief constable and police and crime commissioner will visit Warrington later this month as part of their “Join the Conversation” tour of the county.
PCC David Keane and CC Darren Martland will be at the Gateway, in Sankey Street, Warrington, on Thursday, January 16 at 7pm.
The event will be part of their policy to bring back real neighbourhood policing to the county.
They want to give Cheshire residents the opportunity to talk to them about the issues that matter most to their communities so they can ensure they are policed appropriately.
PCC David Keane said: “It was fantastic to see so many residents engage in our events in Ellesmere Port, Northwich, Widnes and Macclesfield over the past few months and now it’s Warrington’s chance to have its say.
“It’s vitally important that the police have a good relationship with the public they serve and are aware of your priorities. These events are providing the opportunity to hear first-hand the issues that matter most to our communities.
“The events have already demonstrated the high levels of pride in our communities and residents’ appetite and passion for keeping their local area safe.”
CC Darren Martland added: “The community is key in helping us identify the local priorities and allows us to ensure that they are resourced appropriately to make our communities even safer.
“This is your chance to talk to us directly about the priority issues for your community and I hope to see lots of people engaging in the events and shaping our future priorities together.”
Other question time events will take place in Chester on January 9, Crewe on January 23 and in Runcorn on a date yet to be arranged in February.
Anyone who would like to submit a question for the PCC or chief constable ahead of the meetings, should email it to [email protected]
