Fire crews rescue people from flooded homes at Warrington

FIREFIGHTERS used rafts to rescue people from their homes after heavy rain led to flooding at Warrington.
Flood water was a knee level in Densham Avenue, Longford and two fire engines, from Warrington and Widnes, and a water incident unit from Warrington Fire Station went to the scene yesterday.
There were reports of people walking through and playing in the water and fire crews urged adults and children to stay out of the water as there could be hidden dangers such as open drains, damaged road surfaces and submerged debris that could cause serious injury
