VIDEO: STRONG winds failed to deter organisers of the annual Latchford Duck Race which aims to raise funds for deserving causes in the local community.
After witnessing the difficulties facing the larger “Corporate Ducks” which were cast over Kingsway Bridge into the River Mersey below, it was decided to release the smaller ducklings up river, with the assistance of Warrington Rowing Club.
Thanks to the strong wind and fast flowing tide it didn’t take long for the winners to cross the finish line.

The Corporate Winner was Howell and Co. – Sales and Lettings.
Special guests at the event included deputy Mayor Cllr Maureen Creaghan and Warrington South MP Faisal Rashid.
A roadshow was hosted by Radio Warrington.
The event was broadcast live on warrington-worldwide attracting thousand sof viewers from around the world!
