A DISCARDED barbecue is believed to have started a fire in a skip at Warrington late last night.
The blaze was in Cross Lane, Croft shortly before 10.45pm and was well alight when a fire engine from Birchwood reached the scene.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and were at the scene for about half-an-hour.
