A DOMESTIC garage was badly damaged in an arson attack at Warrington last night (Thursday).
The blaze was in Chiltern Road, Orford and fire engines from Warrington and Penketh were called to the scene shortly before 8.45pm.
The garage, containing a large amount of refuse, was well alight and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled it with a hose reel jet. The crews then made sure the fire had not spread to other nearby garages.
Crew members removed burnt material from the building before leaving after being at the scene for about an hour.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101, give the details via https://cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
