Kitchen fire caused by pan left on cooker

A PAN left unattended on a cooker started a fire at a house at Orford, Warrington this afternoon.
The blaze was in the kitchen at a house in Meteor Crescent at about 2.30pm Fire engines from Birchwood and Winsford were sent to the scene.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet and other members of the crew isolated the gas and electricity supplies
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Crews were at the scene for about 45 minutes.
