Long service award for Warrington Lifeguard

FORMER leisure centre manager Greg Snape has been presented with a special long service for lifeguard training and development.

Greg has received the silver bar to service medal and gold bar to service medal for over 30 years service to the royal lifesaving.

The award was presented by Lord Storey at Worcester cathedral during the RLSS presentation of honours for 2018.

Greg said: “I accepted the award on behalf of two Warrington legends in lifesaving, Mr Frank Carey and Mr Tommy Holbrook, sadly no longer with us, but gave their time and support on a voluntary basis to train countless children throughout many years.”
