PLANS are well underway for this years’ Croft Carnival, which will be held on Saturday July 6.

The parade of floats leaves The Plough, at Kenyon Lane, Croft at 12 noon and travels through the village and onto the field for the official opening at 1.30pm.

The committee have booked several new acts and attractions for this year including The Blackrock Llama Display team and Clown Act Bluey and Conk. Both of which will be performing in the arena.

All the favourites will be putting in an appearance, including Punch and Judy, Zorb Balls, Giant board games, Thelwall Morris Men and Dixie Deluxe Jazz Band. As usual, the afternoon draws to a close with the famous egg throwing competition!
The committee are taking bookings from local charities and organisations who would like a stall on the field. If you are interested in having a stall please email Rachael at [email protected]

Leading this year’s procession will be Carnival Queen Gracie Cripps, aged 11, who  attends Croft Primary School, where she is a year 6 pupil.

Alice Hughes aged eight, joins Gracie as this year’s Carnival Princess. Alice is in year 3 at Croft Primary School. Rosebud this year is 7-year-old Jessica Bowen. Jessica also attends Croft Primary School, where she is a Year 2 pupil. The Crown Bearer this year is 5 years old Lewis Ashton.
