FOUR fire engines turned out to a fire in a flat in Warrington town centre last night.
The blaze was in a flat above a bar on Bridge Street and one casualty was rescued from the smoke-filled premises by firefighters.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tacked the fire using a hose reel jet and two ladders. They then used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property.
Fire crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath, Penketh and Lymm were involved in the operation just before 8.30pm and were at the scene for about an hour and 25 minutes.
