Firefighters tackle Orford bedroom fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a bedroom fire at a property in St Stephen’s Avenue, Orford, Warrington, earlier today (Wednesday).

One crew from Birchwood used a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to put out the fire which broke out shortly before 1pm. They then used a large fan to disperse the smoke.

All persons were accounted for.

In another incident at 16.23 a fire crew from Birchwood was called to a small log fire on Broseley Lane, Warrington. The fire had been left unattended so crews used a hose reel jet to put  it.
