St. Rocco’s Christmas Tree Collection set to grow!

JUST as everyone in Warrington is beginning to think about putting up their Christmas decorations staff and volunteers at St. Rocco’s are getting organised for when they all come down.

Last year the collection and disposal of nearly 2,000 Christmas trees from households all over Warrington raised over £27,000 to help the team at St. Rocco’s care for people in the Warrington area with life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

This year with even more organisations and businesses volunteering their time and their vehicles to collect the trees, everyone is hoping that even more can be raised.

Taking part this year are Urban Building Projects, Orangeries of Cheshire, Today Team, NMCN, Warrington Borough Council, Beechwood Industries Ltd, Beesley & Fildes Ltd., Warrington Electrical Supplies, BT Skip Hire, Ensign, SP Energy Networks, Marave, Torus, Jewson, VPS, Eden & Maguire Ltd, and Omega Access North Ltd.

Charlotte Howard, Community Fundraiser at St. Rocco’s said: “All 17 companies have kindly agreed to donate their time for Tree Collection 2019 and we’re immensely grateful to all their staff members who will be out all day on Saturday 13th January working hard to collect in all the trees.

“Their support, and the support of everyone who donates to have their tree collected, makes a real difference to our patients and families.”

It costs £3.6million every year to keep St. Rocco’s running and as a local charity they rely on the generosity of the Warrington community for 78% of that amount.

Last year the Tree Collection was fully booked, so don’t miss out – get your real tree booked in today for collection on Saturday 12th January online at https://www.stroccos.org.uk/events/christmas-tree-collection/ or phone 01925 579211.
