FIVE Warrington Athletic Club runners took part in the Mid Cheshire 5k in Kingsley – a race which attracted a strong contingent of local club entries as well as lots of elite entries from across the country.
Nick Jones, from Grappenhall, was first to finish in the high class race in 21st place with a time of 15 minutes 34 seconds to finish second in the over 40 age group.
Next to finish in 47th place was Grappenhall’s Jack Green with 16 minutes 03 seconds.
David Gill, also from Grappenhall, was next finish in 213th place in 18 minutes 39 seconds, to win the over 60 age group.
Dave Norman, from Helsby, was 265th in 19 minutes 21 seconds, and was 6th in the over 55 age group.
And Steve Burthem, from Great Sankey, finished in 291st in 19 minutes 47 seconds, and was 10th in the over 55 age group.
