Motor cyclist injured in M56 crash

A MOTOR cyclist was injured in a crash on the M56 near Warrington this afternoon.
The crash was on the eastbound carriageway, between Junction 10 at Stretton and Junction Nine at Lymm shortly before 3pm.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance were called to the scene and the eastbound carriageway was closed.
Heavy congestion was reported on the motorway and motorists were advised to try and avoid the area.
Meanwhile, a heavy lorry overturned in Cliff Lane, Lymm this morning and fire and rescue services were called to the scene.
No-one was trapped in the vehicle and although an ambulance went to the scene there are no reports of serious injuries..
