HOUSING group Torus has won planning consent for three “affordable” homes at Bewsey, Warrington.
The properties can be built on land at the junction of Troutbeck Avenue and Longshaw Street on a site formerly occupied by garages and a scout building.
These have now been demolished and the site, surrounded on all sides by residential property, is now an area of fences hardstanding.
Torus proposed a short terrace of three, two=bedroom property, each with a private amenity space and parking.
They are described as affordable, rented property. Two will front onto Troutbeck Avenue and one onto Longshaw Street.
The borough council’s development management committee approved the proposals after hearing the new homes would make a contribution to the availability of affordable homes in the borough, the principle of residential property in the area was acceptable and there was adequate provision for access, parking and servicing.
