Fire crews tackle large timber fire

FIRE crews spent 10 hours tackling a large timber fire at Warrington last night.

Two crews, one from Penketh and one from Widnes attended the blaze at Bewsey Farm Close, Warrington, shortly after 8pm after a report of a timber fire.

A large quantity of timber was well alight and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 10 hours.
