WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones, and formerly the chair of the Parliamentary All-Party Stroke Group, is supporting the Stroke Association’s ‘Make May Purple’ campaign.

The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to conquering stroke.

Helen Jones, whose father died from stroke, said:

“More than a million people are rebuilding their lives after stroke. By supporting ‘Make May Purple’ people will be helping the Stroke Association to make sure stroke gets the attention it deserves as well as supporting their work to fund vital, innovative research into stroke care and treatment.

“I wish this campaign well and hope as many people as possible will Make May Purple.’’

During May the Stroke association and its supporters will be holding fundraising events – pub quizzes, church bake sales, office drinks or even domino games – and will be turning them purple. People will be being sponsored for wearing purple – whether sporting aubergine accessories or dressing head-to-toe in vivid violet.
