JAMES Hyde, head boy at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School, was among a party of Air Cadets who visited Belgium as part of the celebrations to mark the end of World War 1.
He was the only member of 1330 Warrington Squadron, who were with cadets from Greater Manchester on the trip.
They visited Commonwealth War Graves, Dunkirk beach, St Omer Airfield and the Menin Gate where they laid a wreath in memory of men who fell while members of the Royal Flying Corps – predecessors of the RAF.
