  1. It seems from reports on the local news pages and the police’s facebook/twitter pages over the past few months that youths are causing problems with antisocial behaviour, and worse, in all areas of Warrington and the surrounding villages and it;s getting worse. Some people including parents seem to blame their actions on them having no-where to go at night so they just congregate on the streets and cause mischief and in some cases mayhem and vandalism so it’s a lame excuse.
Maybe if the teens want something to do they could spend some hours with the local police to see just how their stupid actions affect other peoples lives and how their own lives might turn out if they continue along their chosen way of being nothing short of gobby and troublesome street yobs who don’t respect anyone or anything!

  2. Lizzy – the last time this announcement was made in this place it led to tragic consequences. No doubt the trouble makers will be know to the police who will be keeping a watchful eye on them and a warning message should be going out to the schools. One ray of hope in the future will be the Youth Zone Project, if it is anything like the one I visited in Wigan it will be a great asset to the community.

  3. I don’t think that poor chap now in a “critical but stable” condition in a Liverpool hospital will share your optimism Geoff. There needs to be a change in the mindset of some (thankfully and hopefully a minority) of young people today, which any number you care to mention of Youth Zone projects will not alter. Boredom is no excuse whatsoever for antisocial behaviour. Days after the cowardly teenage mob attack in Sankey Park, there were several reports of gangs of 10 to 15 year olds in the south of the country roaming around in an antisocial manner, some with knives. Respect of our fellow men and women seems not to feature in some people’s attitude to life nowadays.
