Three teenagers arrested following serious assault in park

THREE teenage boys have been arrested at Warrington following the serious assault in Sankey Valley Park.
The trio, two aged 13 and one aged 15, are now being held and are being questioned by police.
The victim of the assault, a 35-year-old man is said to be in a critical, but stable, condition at The Walton Centre, in Liverpool.
Police were hunting for about six youths following the attack, which occurred at about 4.20pm on Wednesday.
The hunt for the other youths continues – and police are still appealing for information from the public in connection with the incident.
The assault took place in the park, behind Weddell Close and the youths were said to have fled along the canal path towards the bridge near Ledyard Close.
Police believe that three of the teenagers were on bicycles and three of them were on foot.
Increased patrols in the park are continuing.
“Anyone with information that could be of use to us should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 605 of 24 January.
