Bus company to provide Warrington-Wigan link

NETWORK Warrington is expanding its bus network in and around Warrington by taking over operation of the 360 service – from Newton-le-Willows to Wigan.
The bus operator has won a contract from Transport for Greater Manchester to support passengers travelling on the 360 in the evenings and on Sundays.
Buses will operate from 8pm in the evening Monday – Saturday and all day on Sundays from 11am.
The 360 service will link with the existing 22 service to provide a seamless service for passengers to travel between Wigan and Warrington with ease.
Managing director Ben Wakerley said: “We’re delighted to bring a new angle to our network by introducing the 360 service.
“We’re always working hard as a team to make improvements throughout our network such as the Dallam Discount, Pops frequency increase, high frequency hospital route and the Cheshire Cat, and I’m pleased to ensure that we can support passengers from further afield to come to and from Warrington.
“We’re committed to ensuring Warrington continues to be a great place to work and visit and by opening the doors to customers in other towns, we’re hoping to better connect the North West to our town.”
Network Warrington will take over the 360 route from April. For more information, visit networkwarrington.co.uk and follow @WarringtonBuses
