CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning of the potential dangers of wheelie bins fires and hooligans struck three times early today.
Firefighters were called to Charlton Street, Westy, shortly before 4am to reports of a fire.
On arrival they found that two wheelie bins had been set on fire and use a hosereel jet to extinguish them.
As they were leaving the scene, the crew was alterted to a third fire, again involving a wheelie bin, at the rear of Powell Street. Again a hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: “All the fires are believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with any information is asked to contactg Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 75 of January 24.
