10-minute bus service to hospital

IMPROVEMENTS to Network Warrington bus services will mean a 10-minute service to Warrington Hospital and to the Dallam area.
From Monday, January 22, the 16 and 16a routes will increase in frequency to every 10 minutes or better during the day, Monday to Friday.
This means that passengers travelling to and from the hospital and Dallam can “turn up and go” without needing to consult a timetable.
The company has also agreed to freeze prices for the 16 and 16a routes at £1.70 single and £2.50 return in 2018.
Managing director Ben Wakerley said: “We’re pleased to be able to enhance this service which now means that passengers on the 16 or 16a can get a quick and easy bus to the general hospital and Dallam without a lengthy wait.
“We hope residents who need to get to the hospital and associated stops around Bewsey and Dallam will benefit from this service improvement. Further changes will be introduced in the coming months across our network to offer more support to other areas of the borough,
strengthening our services which currently operate seven days a week.
“Network Warrington is Warrington’s own bus company and we’re working to make it a company our residents can be proud of.”

  1. That’s all very well and good but what about other people from area’s not covered by this Dallam route who need to get to the hospital too? I dread to think how much it costs or the time it takes from say Stockton Heath, Lymm and other areas of the borough. And before anyone spouts the ‘South’ argument of how everyone living in South Warrington is loaded and owns cars or can afford taxis or over inflated but fares…take a breath first before replying..as they aren’t.
