A Christmas Carol – from the Creative Remedies group

WARRINGTON’s Creative Remedies group came together to showcase their skills in a one-off Christmas performance.
“A Christmas Carol” was performed at the Pyramid Centre, showcasing an array of arts including drama, music, artwork and photography to a packed audience.
After the performance, there was live music on stage from three of the Creative Remedies music groups, with everything from pop to rock classics as well as some Christmas favourites thrown into the mix.
Cllr Pat Wright, the borough council’s lead member for health and adult social care, said: “Creative Remedies is a brilliant programme that uses music and the arts as a way of bringing people together to support each other through difficult times. I really enjoyed the afternoon and would like to congratulate everyone involved for putting on another fantastic performance.
“It was lovely to get the opportunity to see Creative Remedies showcase all their hard work and talent. Services such as this are vital to some of our most vulnerable residents and the confidence people gain through the groups really shone through on the day. It was a pleasure to watch and I look forward to future events.”
Creative Remedies is an art for health scheme, which runs various community groups aiming to improve people’s health and wellbeing. Any Warrington resident over the age of 18 is welcome to attend and all groups are free of charge.
