Chapelford health centre gets the green light

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for the long-awaited new health centre and pharmacy at Chapelford.
The new facility – which is designed in what has been described as a pavilion-like style – will be built near the neighbourhood centre and Dakota Park.
It will have six consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, potential for future expansion, disabled parking, a drop-off area and the pharmacy.
Outline plans for a GP surgery and pharmacy were approved as long ago as 2002 and earlier detailed proposals were submitted last year.
But the new scheme, submitted by NHS Property Services, has been changed again.
The interior has been designed with a layout that minimises “patient journey” distances around the main building and maximises the use of natural lighting.
