Firefighters tackle Latchford kitchen blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearning breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen fire at a property in Latchford, Warrington, earlier today.

Fire crews from Birchwood and Penketh were called to reports of a house fire on Slater Street in Latchford at 16.45.

Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a fire in the kitchen using a hose reel and a covering jet.

Fire crews then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.
