Lengthy battle to tackle fire in flat

THREE fire engines were involved in an operation to extinguish a fire in a flat in St Katherine’s Way, Warrington.
Crews from Warrington, Penketh and Stockton Heath fought the blaze for an hour and 45 minutes.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
They then used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the premises.
No-one was hurt during the incident in the early hours of this morning.
