A MAN is to appear in court tomorrow (Friday) charged with a terrorism offence after being arrested in Warrington on August 20

Rabar Mala, 32, of Gough Avenue, Warrington, has been charged with possession of property for purposes of terrorism under Section 16 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.

But a second man, arrested in Warrington at the same time, has been released with out charge.

The two men were arrested by armed police in a counter-terrorism operation.

After the arrests, police warned the public to be extra vigilant. But they stressed that the arrests were not connection with the Manchester Arena attack.

  1. Very worrying that someone has been living in our town and in ‘possession of property for purposes of terrorism’…even more worrying is that maybe he’s not the only one.

  2. Apparently there are thousands of them living in this country – known to the authorities – and probably many thousands more who support their cause. If they were born here they should have their right to citizenship removed.
