PLANNING chiefs are being asked to approve proposals to build new retail units at the former Alban Retail Park – now known as Junction Nine – off Winwick Road, Warrington.
The scheme involves land on the existing retail park and two the north of the development.
Permission is being sought for a change of use to retail at two existing units, installation of mezzanine floors, completion of three retail units and the construction of three new retail units.
The works will also include associated parking, servicing and access works to Hawleys Lane and the A49.
A report to be considered by the borough council’s development management committee indicates that the work relates to the northern section of the site, formerly occupied by the Fiat complex.
It has been cleared and a number of units partly constructed under a former planning consent.
Officers are recommending the scheme, submitted by the Derwent Group, be approved
