QHotels, including the award winning Park Royal at Stretton, has revealed the shortlisted entries in its 2017 Wedding Photo Awards and is now inviting the public to vote for the winners on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

The hotel group’s nationwide search for the funniest, most heart-warming and romantic wedding photos received over 100 entries from newlyweds, photographers and happy guests from across the UK.

The shortlists in five categories have been selected by QHotels’ wedding experts and are now being showcased on QHotels’ Facebook and Instagram, ready for the public to vote for their favourite by commenting or liking the shortlist posts.

The 2017 Wedding Photo Award categories are:
• Best ‘first look’ photo
• Funniest wedding photo
• Best ‘perfect kiss’ photo
• Best ‘first dance’ photo
• Best ‘themed wedding’ photo

Voting closes on Friday 21 July and the winners will be announced on Friday 27 July. The winners with the most amount of votes in each category will receive a one-night QHotels break for two with dinner.

The 2017 Wedding Photo Awards, which launched in May, aims to celebrate the memorable moments captured at weddings, from the funny to the romantic.

QHotels’ Marketing Director, Claire Rowland, said: “Following the success of last year’s awards, we had really high expectations for the entries this year – and we were not disappointed! Entries spanned a range of styles, from the intimate and touching, to the bold and daring, shared by wedding guests using their phones and professional photographers alike.

“We’re excited to share our shortlist and to see which the public choose as their favourite. We also hope the galleries provide inspiration for couples planning their own wedding photography!”
