LATCHFORD  racked up the points on Saturday with a comprehensive 72-7 victory over local rivals Haresfinch.
Albion’s points came with tries from Chris Griffiths, 3, Luke Hickman, 3, Phil Woolacott, 2, Adam Wadsworth,  2, Jake Ashall and Owen Nugent, whose length of the field solo try was the highlight of the game.
Goals came from Chris Griffiths, 8, which added to his three tries gave him a personal haul of 28 points, Owen Nugent,  3, and Luke Hickman, 1.
Coach Lee Smith was understandably happy.
He said: ” We have been threatening a performance like today, so it is good to see the hard work the boys are doing in training being transferred onto the pitch.
“Apart from a 15 minute spell in the second half, where the game got a bit scrappy, we stuck to our game plan and got our just rewards.
“I must give credit to the Haresfinch players who turned up with only 15 players but never gave up until the final whistle.”
Albion have a free weekend before a further home game at the Asics Victoria Park arena on June 24 when they host current champions Haydock. Kick-off  2.30pm
