WARRINGTON Police have thanked members of the public for their messages of support while out patrolling over the Bank Holiday weekend.
There was an increased police presence following the Manchester bombing , including armed officers in the town centre at the weekend during the Comic Con event at Warrington market.
A police spokesperson said: “Over the last few days many members of the public have left messages on social media pages or approached officers at events and in the street to have their photo taken with us, to tell us we have made them feel safe while they are out and about or to simply say ‘thank you’ for being out there on patrol.
“All of your support has been fantastic, without it we wouldn’t be able to provide the service we do for you, so from everyone at Warrington police we would like to THANK YOU.”
