Gang break into house, attack owner – then steal his car

A GANG of four or five men forced their way into a house at Warrington, attacked the 56-year-old occupier, demanded his keys and then drove off in his car.
Police hunting the offenders  today appealed for information about the robbery in Killingworth Lane, Birchwood, which occurred shortly before 3.30am on Friday, April 21.
After the terrified victim handed over his keys, the unknown men made off in his black Audi RS4, which had been parked on the drive.
Police said the men , who were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered, forced their way into the house through the front door.
One of them was wearing a grey, flat cap.
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Daryl Gavin said: “This was a serious incident and we’re committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible so that they can be brought to justice.
“The victim in this case has been left extremely shaken, suffering heavy bruising to his face and a possible broken nose as a result of the incident.
“As part of this investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and believes that they may have seen anything suspicious.”
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 95 of 21 April 2017. Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
