Police crackdown on Chapelford Village

POLICE are to impose a dispersal order for the Chapelford Village area of Warrington from 4pm today in a bid to crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the area.
This is following a high number of complaints from residents about the behaviour of individuals and groups in the locality.
The order will remain in operation in the area until 4pm on Sunday.
Anyone issued with a dispersal notice must leave the area immediately or face further action.
The dispersal order gives a constable in uniform the power to direct any person who is in a public place in the locality not to return for the period specified.
A police spokesman said: “This order is being issued for the purpose of removing or reducing the likelihood of members of the public being harassed, alarmed or distressed by crime or disorder, and more particularly by youth anti-social behaviour.”
