Warrington Borough Council is offering community groups the chance to apply for grants to support neighbourhood projects.

The Town Centre Partnership Group is offering funding to support groups with projects that can have a real impact in the town centre.

Applications can be submitted for up to £1,000, but if significant impact can be demonstrated, larger grants may be awarded.

Cllr Tony Higgins, executive board member for culture, leisure and community, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to play their part in transforming their own communities.

“This fund has made a huge impact on our neighbourhoods in recent years and I’m looking forward to this continuing both in the town centre and across the rest of the borough.

“If you have a great idea, whether it’s a community fun day, children’s sports club, luncheon group or anything else that makes a difference to people’s lives, don’t miss out on this opportunity to make it a reality.”

The Town Centre Partnership Group will award funding to applications that will benefit people visiting, working or living in the town centre.

To apply, please click here and complete the online application form. The deadline for applications is Friday, 17th March, 2017.
