Man dies after being found injured in woodland

POLICE were called to woodland at Callands, Warrington after a man was found with serious injuries.
The man, in his 40s, was given first aid by officers at the scene in Big Wood, near Gresford Close, and was taken to Aintree Hospital, Liverpool, by ambulance.
But a short time later he died.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The man’s family are being informed and the facts will be reported to the coroner.
