Festive bin collection dates

BIN collections in Warrington change over the festive period – and the borough council is reminding residents to make sure they don’t get caught out.

From Tuesday December 20 to Friday December 23 collections of both black and blue bins will remain as usual.
But because of the bank holidays there will be changes from Tuesday December 27 to Friday December 30, with all collections being a day later than usual.

Householders are being asked to make sure all waste is inside bins with the lid closed.

Wrapping paper can’t be recycled but Christmas cards can – and for more details of what can and can’t be recycled visit

People who want to recycle Christmas trees – and help St Rocco’s Hospice at the same time – should visit http://www.stroccos.org.uk/events/christmas-tree-collection/  or call 01925 575780.
Volunteers from Warrington Borough Council and other partners will be collecting trees for recycling in exchange for a charity donation.
