PLANS to increase the height of fencing at Orford Youth Centre, off Capesthorne Road, Orford are to be put to Warrington’s development management committee.
The proposal is to increase a stretch of fencing facing Derek Avenue from 1.8m high to 3m, the new fencing to be paladin weld-mesh style and coloured green.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved. They say it would improve security within the site and – because of its design and colour – would have no harmful impact on houses in Derek Avenue.
The height of the fencing will deter people from attempting to climb over it and should reduce the likelihood of anti-social behaviour in the area.
