Appeal to trace driver after cyclist suffers serious injuries

POLICE have launched an appeal to trace the driver of a car involved in a collision with a cyclist who was left with serious injuries.

Officers investigating the collision on Hawleys Lane, Warrington, are appealing for the public’s help in tracing the car and its driver following the incident which took place on Friday, October, 21 between 16:00 and 16.15 near to the junction with Alban Retail Park.

The cyclist was heading towards the A49 when a car, carrying out a u-turn, collided with it. Both stopped at the scene and the cyclist later attended Warrington General Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to the driver and anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 291 of 22 October.
