Firefighters help rescue lorry driver

FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington helped rescue a lorry driver after his vehicle flipped on its side on the M56 at Stretton earlier today.

Theroad traffic collision involved one heavy goods vehicle on the M56, junction 10 at the eastbound entry.

The vehicle left the highway and came to rest on it’s side on the embankment. Two fire crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath attended at the scene of the incident which occured at 13.43.

Firefighters handed the driver into the care of the ambulance service.
