Busy Bonfire night for Warrington firefighters

FIREFIGHTERS had a busy night in Warrington, tackling a number of bonfire related incidents as well as a suspected arson attack on a car parked in Sharp Street.

The first call out of the evening involved firefighters using a hose reel jets to put out a bonfire in a dangerous location off Collin Street, Warrington at 18.12.

They were then called to deal with a car fire on waste ground off Longshaw Street, Warrington at 19.25.

Firefighters then used a hose reel jet to put out a number of bonfires burning off Grasmere Avenue, Warrington at 20.04.

Later a hose reel jet was used to out a bonfire on Collin Street, Warrington at 20.51, followed by a wheelie bin fire which was extinguished in Evelyn Street at 21.32.

A hose reel jet was then used to out a fire involving some trees off Windermere Avenue, Warrington, at 23.52.

Finally, during the early hours of this morning firefighters tackled a car fire with a hose reel on Sharp Street, Warrington at 01.15.
