MORE than 50 applications have been made for the vacant managerial positions at Warrington Town FC.

The club advertised for a manager and an assistant manager last Sunday, after parting company with joint managers Stuart Mellish and Lee Smith following the 2-1 home defeat by Workington Town.

Meanwhile reserve team manager Steve Hayes will be in charge again tomorrow away at Halesowen, after overseeing the team fightback from 2-0 down to grab a draw away at Rushall Olympic on Tuesday evening.

The team will be boosted by the return of Scott Metcalfe from suspension and Ged Kinsella from injury.

Meanwhile reserve team assistant Andy McCann, who also assisted at Rushall, will stay at Cantilever Park, in charge of the reserves who play St Helens.

The club is hopeful of making an announcement on the managerial positions in the not too distant future.
