Car transporter fire holds up traffic

A CAR transporter caught fire in Winwick Road, Warrington, last night – causing traffic hold-ups.
The blaze involved the engine compartment of the vehicle and was tackled by firefighters using two hose reel jets and wearing breathing apparatus.
Afterwards, a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation.
