FIRE crews from Warrington tackled a blaze caused by a faulty extractor fan.
The blaze was at a house in Fox Street, Bewsey and it caused extensive smoke throughout the property.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and a ventilation unit was brought in to clear smoke from the house.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation but there were no reports of injuries.
