A man and woman have been charged in relation to 14 burglaries across Warrington.

Dean Hirst, 29, and Sonia Wilcocks, 32, were arrested on September 14 as part of an ongoing investigation into a number of burglaries in Warrington between June to August 2016

Following questioning Hirst, of no fixed abode, Warrington, and Wilcocks, of Strawberry Close, Birchwood, were both charged with Conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

The charge accounts for fourteen burglaries in the Warrington area, whereby the offenders targeted homes when the occupants were clearly out at the time of the offences and stole mainly jewellery and electrical items.

Hirst was remanded in Police custody and Wilcocks was released on conditional bail.

Both were appearing at North Cheshire Magistrates today, Friday 16 September.
