WARRINGTON-based document management specialists The Sharples Group are supporting National Cycle to Work Day tomorrow (September 14th) by encouraging their staff to get on their bikes and ride to and from work.

Nine members of the company’s employees will be leaving their cars at home and cycling in from three different counties, pledging a total of more than 300 car-free miles.

Director and accomplished long-distance cyclist Mark Brocklehurst welcomed the September 14th promotion by urging others to take part in an annual event that is attracting more participants year on year.

“Cycle to Work Day has played an important role in introducing people to the health benefits of cycling to work and I am happy to see a growing number of people travelling by bike,” said Mr Brocklehurst. “In fact, at Sharples Group, we encourage our staff to opt for the health-giving, pollution free cycle option whenever possible.”

Mark’s cycling skills have enabled him to raise significant sums of money for a variety of charitable causes.”
