Road closures and residents hotline for Creamfields

ROAD closures and a special residents hotline for noise complaints has been set up for the forthcoming Creamfields extravaganza at Daresbury near Warrington, which will be a four day event for the first time this year, starting on Thursday.

This year ther annual music festival takes place from Thursday 25 through to Sunday 28 August and although the event is in Halton, some road and footpath closures and restrictions affect Warrington.

Creamfields has set up a residents’ hotline for any issues or queries, including noise complaints. The hotline is open 24 hours a day from 8am Thursday through to 2pm on Monday 29 August.

Travel information

If you’re travelling to or around the festival site over the weekend please be aware that there may be traffic congestion or temporary road closures and allow for this in your journey time.

Road closures and restrictions

Closures and restrictions will be in place from Thursday 25 August for five days, as and when the event signs are in place on site.

Please note: The information below relates only to roads and footpaths within the Warrington boundary, other closures and restrictions are in place in neighbouring Halton: A summary of ALL road closures and restrictions in both Warrington and Halton is on the Creamfields website.

Warrington road closures:

Daresbury Lane – up to the boundary with Halton (except for access to Creamfields car parking facilities)
Chester Road will be closed at the junction with the Daresbury bypass A56 (Newton Lane end)
Hobb Lane – From its junction with the A56 Chester Road, for 30 metres
Holly Hedge Lane – From its junction with the A56 Chester Road, for 30 metres
Old Chester Road – Between the A56 Chester Road and Walton Lea Road
Park Lane – Between the A56 Chester Road and Warrington Road
Underbridge Lane
Warrington Road – Between Park Lane and Daresbury Lane

Warrington temporary speed limits:

20mph – A56 Chester Road, from the boundary with Halton to Old Chester Road/Runcorn Road
40mph – may also be enforced on the A56 Chester Road, Daresbury Lane and Warrington Road before, during and after the event

Daresbury Lane – From Warrington Road to the boundary with Halton

Hobb Lane – From the A56 Chester Road to the boundary with Halton

Hatton footpath no.1 – between Warrington Road and the Halton boundary
Hatton footpath no.12 – (Gosling Close) between Hatton Lane and Goose Lane

Walton footpath no.3A – between footpath no.3 and the Halton boundary
Pedestrian access for those attending Creamfields

Pedestrians walking from the direction of Warrington will enter Creamfields via the entrance facing Holly Hedge Farm. Pedestrians walking from the direction of the Eastern Expressway will access via temporary footbridges installed near to Hobb Lane.
