Police appeal after series of burglaries and car thefts

POLICE at Warrington today made an urgent appeal for information following a series of burglaries and thefts of motor vehicles in the town.
In the last week thieves have been breaking into houses, searching for car keys and stealing the owner’s vehicle.
The first incident happened on Saturday August 13 just after 5am on Burnside Avenue in Stockton Heath.
The second burglary took place between Sunday August 14 at 9pm and Monday
August 15 at 2am on Woodbridge Close, Appleton.
The third took place between Monday August 15 at 23.30 and Tuesday  August 16 at 5:50am on Braemar Close in Fearnhead.
Police have not indicated whether the offences could be the work of the same offenders, but officers want to remind residents to be extra vigilant, to keep car keys hidden and away from view and to report anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
If anyone has any information which may help police with their enquiries to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 213 of August 13 for Stockton Heath, 170 of August 15 for Appleton and 132 of August 16  for Fearnhead.
