Men arrested possessing offensive weapon acid substance

WARRINGTON police have swooped to arrest two men who were found to be in possession of an offensive weapon “acid type substance” after a car was stopped at Winwick.

Officers made the arrests close to the border with GMP on the A49 Winwick Link Road earlier today (Sunday).

Police arrested the driver after he provided a positive drugs swipe. It is also alleged that the car contained bottles containing an ‘Acid type substance’ so both occupants have been arrested
for being in possession of an offensive weapon.
