House in garden plan is thrown out

AN application for permission to build a dwelling in the rear garden of a semi-detached cottage has been thrown out by Warrington Borough Council’s development management committee.
Councillors decided the proposal at Culcheth would impact on the amenity of neighbours and had inadequate parking facilities.
Highway safety could also be affected because of inadequate visibility splays in Fowley Common Lane,
Three neighbours had opposed the scheme and there was also an objection from Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council.
Planning officers had also recommended the plan be rejected.
